The Territory of the “Untouchable”
The territory of the ‘untouchable’ is an allegory on the theme of deliberate isolation, of life in a closed space. It also refers to the way in which the ‘untouchable’ communicates when he finds himself beyond the borders of his own area. This is a work about the quest for personal holy places, the deliberate opting for privation which makes man stronger. It is the history of the artist Ravil Niyazbayev, who created his own space, his own territory – now seen by the outside world as a ‘holy place’.
