| Michael H. Rohde In 2008, in my own place of residence (in the former GDR) I visited two desolated places and examined them with my own perception. The first one was a barred and strictly guarded state receiving and transmitting station of the ADN (Allgemeiner Deutscher Nachrichten Dienst, engl. general german news office) and the second was a private dwelling. I imagined myself in the available situation and perceived these two places with my current point of view and I documented it at the same time with a camera. Now according to the still available atmosphere and the debris even from the past, I have behaved as it is the present for me. I found, among other things, a catalogue for the construction and its foundation of the palace of the republic in Berlin which I judged according the today’s situation. Menacing sensations often appeared which warned me and made me pensive. In this world problems exist even more than we recognise at first sight. We also substantially recognise more than we mean to recognise, because we own the most different perception levels and certain divisions become re-educated not to see, or to react according to it. We must recognise our own perception, to have more confidence in it, take it seriously and according to it, operate consciously. Michael H.
